FULL IMMERSION IN INGLISH VII PROGRAMME : JANUARY 10TH TO FEBRUARY7TH 2.009

San Andres Island

Is a beutiful place located in caribean cost colombian. it is visited for many people on the world . there you can to meet many thing for doing. you could to knowing and enjoing in differents touristplaces,costomer, gastronomyand many differents religions.
the cultural is rich in dance nd song althought i should say that it has influence that Africa England and jamaica.
listen regue sit on the sand in the afternoon is wonderful.

FULL IMMERSION IN INGLISH VII PROGRAMME

This program is an opportunity for teachers in different regions of my country to improve their level of English. They live through the experience of everyday life in San Andres island through academic, cultural, and living in a native home of the island, so this program increases fluency, vocabulary, grammar and throughout life.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

January 10th
TEACHER ARRIVE



I arrived to san Andres Island at 4:30 p.m., the trip was a good experience for me, I have several especialmoment, for example when I sow the sea since airplane, I gave thanks to God for this experience, this was the first time he saw the sea in my life.
when I arrived in the Island, I had many expectative and preocupation but after all was well, the leader of the program I was waiting in the air port, there he was after, I went to a native family.

In my native house lives Ms Mazie's family. I lived with three teacher more,they was from: Valledupar and Armenia. They are a good person


JANUARY 11th




I stayed in home. This day was important for too, because it allowed me to better my colleagues; on the other hand, we go to chur in the morning, to Firs Baautits Churs of the Islansdhere we listening the Gad's word in english. b Finally, we went to the beach with the granddaughter of Ms Mazie
I was happy because, I don't know to sea, there we were all afternoon.

January 12th




WELCOME MEETING


Today we begin the porgramme. the activiy was in two moments. the first moments was in the morning, everybody was in ther oom at 8: 30 am,there the programme leader present to programme, the methodologyof work.


Island Tour : this is a second moment, where everyone were knowing to Island. we went the all important place of Island. Beaches, Morgan's Cave, Blowing Hole, La Piuscinita and West View







January 13th
Today we realized the QPT test, this exam was very short, i was relax when i finished my result was A2. After i went in the classroom when the studentsand teacher had a interview. there every student answer some ask.



January 14th


we get up at 5: 30 am . Today we begin class in the Botanical Garden, there we speak Engles during all morning.
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work .

January 15th
Today we work in the morning, we started at 7:00 am and we finish at 12: 00 m. first we did a everyday prayer "our father" after we prepared a dilogue with a patner about our personal life more later we interchange information between the group.
As soon as everyone in a group did your work we began a new activity in this case . we did a oral story about the immersion, one person began and every set anything even finished



Finally we work on the book the unit 1A

Topic: verbs form and question

January 16th
Today after the prayer we invent a writing story in group. Our story was named " Carlitos looks for your mon" when every group finished everyone read in front of group
when we finished the activity we did a dictate about jamie Oliver text of pag. 4
After we worked on the book pag5 is important say that when we worked on the book always we put attention toa new vicabulary.
Topic: Day -to- day phrases.
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work .

January 17th







Today we began the class writing a text aboutown life : daily activities" after every one read in fornt of group.
After we worked in group of three person with the text pag 6 and 7 .
Is important set that teacher explained abuot topic: subject question.



Finally we went to cultural activity "living culture" at 3: to 6:00 pm

January 18th

Today we went to cultural activity "visit to native house museum" this vist was very interesting for me because i could know the tipical and cultural african's life, my roots

Januar 19th
Today began the class writinga text cultural activity " living culture" when we finished every one read in front of group.
After, we spoke about another cultural activity "visit to native house museum"
This activity was very interesting because we know many new vocabulary aout this costomer and culture
Also we worked on the book pag 8 and 9 .
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work .



January 20th

Today in the morning we worked on the book "iregular vers, past time phrases, question words" pag. 12 13 and i learnned when use: the prepositions.

Finally in the afternoon we had another cultural activities chating with a native: "Evolution of Education in the Island of San Andres.
This is a good experince because, we know different people , also, we ask about our anxieties.
In this activity we spoke with Mr. Ulis Oncill Liver and Miss Claudia Forbes.


January 21th



Today inthe morning we worked on the book "first meetings" pag. 14 -15 and i learnned past continuous: positive, negative and questions, we review the past time phrases.
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work .

January 22th

Today teacher did us an assessment about the topic thatwe had work
After, we worked pag. 16-17, topic: the 10001 nights "past continuous and past simple" conecting words, reading and listening stories




January 23th

Today we work a review getting a qualified,
after, we worked pag. 122 and vocabulary of pag 14
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work



January 24th

Cultural activity: Ecotuorism Hiking & Tea Party. today we walked towards the lagoon of the Island, also, we knew diferents plants, in this journey we had a guide who spoke English all time.

January 25th
Cultural activity: Botanical Garden
Today we went to botanical garden , there, we watched the tipical flora of san andres island, with us was a guide whon explained us the diferents triangules of the garden.


January 26th

Today in the morning we was working in goup for plaining the final work. after we had a round table where we spoke aboutimmersion course: housing, academic, cultural and our progress.

After break we began with aclass where every student should be to prepared and present a class in from of group. Every day we watch two clases
The firt clas was abut WILL and MIGHT; this clas was very interesting our collegge was active an relax.the second clas was about GOING TO , this clas was dinamic and internaint . finally evey body gave a congratulation to our patner.
Finally we worked on the book ,topic: Present Perfect for life.


January 27th

Today began with class's patner, the class was abuot : future plan, the second class was about the same topicand suggestion and request. is very important set that this class were very interseting because we could to learn many activities an pedagogical strategy.
Later, in the afternoon, we work in the Library and computer's room about autonomous work .


January 28th



In this class we participated of two patner's claas. the first class was about relationship , comparatives, present continuos.
The second class was about character abjetives, describing appearance.

January 29th
Today the teacher surprised us. we prepared a drama about one man that leave his wife waiting the aniversario's day.when every one did your work ,we presented it in front of group.

Later we participated of two patner's class, the first was about , present continuous for future arragements and the second class was about contable and incontables nouns and posesive pronouns.

In the afternoon, we work in the Library the autonomous work in the computer room and library .

January 30th

we began with the review about complaints and request, some activities in the classroom

January 31st


Cultural activity: sea flower expedition, Johnny kayJohnny kay is a beatiful and tourist place located in front of San Andres Island, her, you know different's people swim enjoy and rest.





February 1st


This day was for rest.

February 2nd

We participated in patner's cllass all morning. finally we gave a congratulations to the colleague for their dediction in this activity and the teacher set us a nice words abuot this moment and the future.




February 3rd

To day we had a sport day where was a general integration.


February 4th


We present to teacher the final investigative work. after teacher gave us your suguestion about it
February 5th

We present to QPT test, my rsult was A2, I fell very well because my calification up, an i know tha i learn very much.


February 6th
Clousing
In the morning we were presenting the final investigative work infron of secretaria de educacion represent, university nacional decolombia sede caribe manager, fundacion providence officials, teachers and all students. it was a nice experince.

Later at nihg in the nautico club, we go to fare well ceremony, here , they gave us our crtifycate and result of QPT test. after have a dinner.














February 7th






Here we were in the airport. today every one will go to your city.
